What we do

The NHS Walk In Centre can treat any minor ailments that you would usually take to your own nurse. You will be able to receive healthcare advice, information and treatment. We are unable to deal with serious medical emergencies which pose an immediate threat to a person’s health or life. In these cases please go to Accident and Emergency at the Northern General Hospital, Herries Road, Sheffield, S5 7AU or call 999 and request an ambulance.

Anyone can use the service and remain registered with their own GP surgery or if you live in Sheffield you can choose to register as a patient of the Broad Lane Medical Centre, which is also in the Sheffield City GP Health Centre.

If you are a registered patient with us home visits will be provided if you are unable to attend in person. If you are not registered with us your registered doctor is responsible for home visits.

Sheffield City GP Health Centre houses the NHS Walk In Centre, which offers appointments with a nurse on a walk-in basis, to anyone who requires, even if they are registered elsewhere, and the Broad Lane Medical Centre, a registered-only patients GP practice.

If you would like to register with us then call 0114 241 2700 or call into the centre on Broad Lane.
